BRING MIA HOME

You can help - Bring Mia Schem home safely

She went to a music festival
She still hasn't returned from him

On the morning of Saturday 7/10, thousands of terrorists infiltrated Israeli territory, in the largest terrorist attack ever in the State of Israel, during which, among other things, terrorists arrived at the "Nova" music festival held in the Reim forest, shot at the participants, killed and wounded hundreds of the participants, and kidnapped many from whom to capture in Gaza.

Our Mia

Mia Schem, 21, grew up and was educated in Shoham. She is the second daughter in a family of four children: Ilay, 23, Ori - a 12th grade student at Shoham High School, and Danny - a 5th grade student at Tzukim School. After graduating from Shoham High School, she completed her military service and began dreaming of a future as an artist and tattooist.

The Schem family is Shohamist in every way: grandparents, uncles, close and extended family, all have been part of the Shoham community for decades. The strength of a community is measured in its most difficult moments.

Now - we are all obligated to assist the Shem family in the prolonged struggle for Mia's release and return home.

A struggle aimed at ensuring Mia, and all the captives, are kept in public awareness and at the top of decision-makers’ priorities. The knowledge that Keren, Mia's mother, has been unable to sleep for over a month already should disturb every leader in the country. All must share the concern for the health of the captives, their sleeping and living conditions, medical care, and the supply of medicines and food they receive.

Hamas turned Mia into the face of all the captives when they chose to release a video of her in captivity, and the Shem family took it upon themselves to lead the struggle for their release, even in the face of world leaders. In a media and public campaign, they work to compel countries and leaders to act for the speedy release of the captives.

This is not a private struggle, it is a struggle for the future of the State of Israel.

This is a struggle we are all obligated to take part in - we do not stop until everyone returns home.

Mia is alive
and that is how she must return

9 days after the traumatic abduction incident, Hamas released the first video from captivity in which Mia spoke in pain and begged to return home:

"I just ask that they bring me home as soon as possible to my family. Please get us out of here as soon as possible. Please."

The video confirmed the testimonies from the party and showed that Mia was shot in the hand and severely injured.
She needs ongoing intensive medical treatment.

Setting up a family crisis center: Mia Schem

From the day of the abduction, the Shem family set up a family crisis center where they gathered intelligence information, and formed an action team that works on the media and digital scene to call for the immediate return of all captives, including Mia, home safe and sound.

This activity is led by Keren, Mia's mother, alongside Ilay, her 23-year-old elder brother, her two young siblings Ouri, 17, and Dany, 10, as well as the rest of the extended family.
